'Shropshire Star' dated 7th October 1994:”Listening booths send fans back to 50s. A new record shop in Wellington plans to transport music buffs back in time - by building a Tardis style listening booth. Discovery's Records in Dawley Road hopes to become the only record shop in Britain with an authentic sound kiosk, similar to those used in the rock and roll heyday of the 1950s. The shop, which opens today, will stock a wide variety of sounds catering for many varied tastes but intends to concentrate mainly on new records. Managing director Paul Greaves, himself a disc jockey, says the shop will be run for the “music fan”. “There is not actually a proper record shop in Telford, unless you count the majors like HMV and Our Price,” said Mr Greaves. “We hope to stock music to cater for all tastes - particularly new albums and with luck we will have the sound booth built in a couple of weeks. “That way people will be able to come in and listen to new albums in the same way they were able to in shops during the 50s and 60s.”...and this in the 'Telford Journal' dated 2nd November 1995:“Paul pleads for spooky record. A Wellington shop-owner is feeling pretty spooked by the ghostly goings-on in his record store. Paul Greaves, who owns Discovery's Records in Bell Street, is now appealing for help in researching the history of the premises in a bid to find out just what it is that is responsible for the strange happenings of late. The 26 year old said tapes have been moved around and lights turned on and off since he moved into the building four months ago. He also found his vacuum cleaner had been moved and left against the wall at an odd angle. He said: “It’s just getting more and more weird. There is definitely something in the shop.” Mr Greaves said he is now looking for Wellington residents to come up with stories or photographs regarding the building in the hope of finding out more about its history.”
