I found this advert in the 'North Wales Weekly News' dated 7th May 1981: “A NEW record shop, specialising in imports and other rare records, is being planned for Llandudno. If the planning application goes through at the beginning of next month, Die Records will be opening at 37 Madoc Street, above the Sonya gift shop. “What we are going to offer will be all the things that the others do not offer” said Franck Ormea, whose Disco Incorporated Entertainments has been selling records at gigs and markets for about 18 months. “I have a nice selection of 78s, jazz 78s and jazz albums” he said and will also be offering French and Dutch issues and other imports. But it will not just be a haven for the specialist, the chart discs offered by normal record departments will also be available and second hand discs as well. “Nobody does that here in Llandudno” said Mr Ormea.”
... and this in the 10th December 1981 edition:
“Have an alternative Christmas at DIE RECORDS, 37 MADOC STREET, LLANDUDNO. The only Specialist Record Shop in Town. CHART ALBUMS AND SINGLES AT LOW PRICES and Exclusive Imports, Rarities, Picture Discs, Coloured Vinyls, Punk, New Wave, 12in., BRAND NEW OLDIES SINGLES FROM 40p. Open Monday to Saturday 9.30 to 5.30. Tel. 70244.”
