I found this advert in the 'North Wilts Herald' dated 7th October 1932: “DALE, FORTY & CO, LTD. THE PROMENADE, CHELTENHAM and CIRENCESTER, STROUD, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, etc.”
... and this advert in the 'Gloucestershire Echo' dated 8th December 1949: “DO YOUR CHRISTMAS RECORD SHOPPING AT THE DALE, FORTY RECORD SALON — the largest and best equipped Gramophone Department in the Provinces — more than 15,000 Records from which to choose. Columbia, Decca, Parlophone, RECORDS stocked and everything for the gramophone. DALE, FORTY & Co. Ltd, The Promenade, Cheltenham.”
