I found this classified advert in the 'Birmingham Mail' dated 30th October 1969: “SALESMAN Required for retail domestic appliance shop. Excellent opportunity for young, 17-20 year old, presentable man to increase his retailing knowledge. Apply in writing to Mr. M. E.
