Co-Operative Department Store Barking Road East Ham

(April 20, 2015) This was a multi department store which had a music section. It has a fond memory for me as the first record I bought with money I earned as an solicitors articled clerk for which I was initially paid £5.00 per week was The Beatles “From Me to You” EP. I don’t really know why I hadn’t bought the Please Please Me Lp but it was probably because I heard it so often at school that I knew every song by heart anyway. Comment: David Lawson
