I found this piece in the 'Bristol Evening Post' dated 5th December 1991:
“Classical World in Whiteladies Road, Bristol. The store will stock classical music recordings, prints, figurines and books on art and music. Mr. Redpath said: “Classical World is a concept I’ve had in my mind for some years. Redundancy made it a reality.”
... and this address in the 'Western Daily Press' dated 14th May 1993:
“Classical World 80 WHITELADIES ROAD, CLIFTON, BRISTOL BS8 2NT. TEL: 0272 467866.”
... and this piece in the 'Bristol Evening Post' dated Friday 23rd July 1993:
“THE OWNER of a Brlstol classical music store has been found dead just days after closing the shop down. Peter Redpath, aged 50, was found dead at his home after shutting the doors on Classical World in Clifton for the last time. The green-fronted shop in Whiteladies Road was opened 18 months ago selling classical compact discs, art books, videos, cards and cassettes. An inquest into the death of Mr. Redpath, who lived in Swindon, opened on Wednesday.”
... plus this piece in the 6th August 1993 edition:
“THE FAMILY of tragic Bristol music shop owner Peter Redpath has thanked customers for their support. Mr Redpath, aged 50, was found dead at his home on July 14, four days after closing Classical World in Whiteladies Road, Clifton. His wife Morag and daughter Shona said: “We would like to thank the customers of Classical World who showed Peter kindness and support. “His shop opened in December 1991, it gave him so much pleasure.”
