I found this piece in the 'Westminster Gazette' dated 8th February 1912:
“THE CIVIL SERVICE SUPPLY ASSOCIATION LIMITED, is the great Society, founded in 1866, NOT TO MAKE PROFITS but to enable buyers to obtain all kinds of goods for cash without paying unreasonable prices.”
... and this advert in the 'Daily News (London)' dated 24th June 1927:
“CIVIL SERVICE SUPPLY ASSOCIATION Ltd., THE STRAND STORES 425, STRAND, W.C.2 & 136, QUEEN VICTORIA ST., E.C.4.”
