I found this in the 'Rugby Advertiser' dated 30th September 1960:
“NOW OPEN! J. W. BERWICK THE RECORD SHOP, 2 SHEEP STREET, RUGBY. Telephone 3337 (Also at 7 High Street, Daventry) RECORDS + RECORD PLAYERS * PORTABLE RADIOS * TAPE RECORDERS * Specialist and Personal Attention.”
... and this in the 19th November 1965 edition:
“READY! STEADY! ~ STOP! BERWICK'S RECORD SHOP, 2 Sheep Street, Rugby.”

I used to love Berwicks! They had fabric patches hanging near the till on the left as you came in (perfect for the 70s/80s battle jacket) and as I used to buy tapes back then I can remember swinging metal tape holders on the left wall of the shop - if you wanted one near to the hinge they had to take out all of the tapes in that row to get to it! Brilliant shop!
