I found this advert on page 7 of the 'St. Pancras Gazette' dated 16th December 1938:
“MAKE IT MUSIC • RECORDS, RADIO & MUSIC. BELL'S MUSIC STORES, 210, Kentish Town Road.”
... and this piece on page 8 of the same edition:
“I was wondering, after having heard so much about the quality, or lack of it, in the B.B.C. programmes for Christmas, whether it might not be a good idea to provide one's own music if one possesses a radiogram. If you think that way too, a visit to Mr. Bell's radio shop at No. 210, Kentish Town Road, might prove profitable. The latest song-hits and records to suit both lowbrows and highbrows can be obtained here. But maybe you don't want that sort of amusement. You perhaps prefer to play your own instruments. Its just a matter of what you can afford, whether you choose a piano-accordion or a mouth-organ. Here's a chance to have your own Jazz band. There are all sorts of tin instruments which are guaranteed to make a merry noise.”
