I found this piece in the 'Eastern Post' dated 17th December 1932: “BARDENS FOR WIRELESS. Barden's, of 241 and 243, Cambridge Road, Bethnal Green, are an enterprising wireless firm. Although only established about ten years, they have made phenomenal progress during that period. They have extended their premises and to-day, with their up-to-date shop, fitted frontage and lighting, they stand out in Cambridge Road as a brilliant oasis in a practically darkened wilderness.“
… and this piece in the 2nd November 1935 edition:
“BARDEN, LTD., radio and gramophone specialists, of 241-243, Cambridge Road, Bethnal Green. Year after year their business has increased, and they have now opened another branch in High Street North, East Ham.”
… and this piece in the 20th August 1938 edition:
“OPENING OF RADIO AND TELEVISION STORE. To-day (Friday) at 6 p.m., R. Barden Ltd., are opening another radio and television store at 144-146, Whitechapel Road.”
