I found an advert in the ‘Miscellaneous Wants’ section of the ‘Leicester Daily Mercury’ dated 23rd May 1985:
“RECORDS and cassettes bought, good prices paid, any quantity even collections. Archer Records, 52a Highcross St., Leicester, Tel: 536992.”

Originally in a small shop on Highcross Street, selling used vinyl, it moved to bigger premises on High Street for several years before closing. The High Street shop was split over two floors.
