I found this advert in the 'Barking, East Ham & Ilford Advertiser' dated 14th October 1905:
“IF you can, or cannot, Talk, Sing, Whistle, or Play a Musical Instrument, we can supply you with a GRAMOPHONE OR PHONOGRAPH that will do it for you, and make your home bright and cheerful. Prices to suit everybody and all the Latest and Best Records. ALBON'S Stores, 51, AXE STREET, BARKING.”
... and this in the 21st December 1912 edition:
“Don’t buy a pig in poke, but buy your Gramophones and Records at Albon’s Stores, where you can obtain double-sided Records, all new and latest titles, from 1s. 3d. each. Gramophones at prices to suit all pockets. District agent for “His Master's Voice”. Repairs of every description for all makes of talking machines by experienced workmen.—119, Ripple Road, Barking.”
