I found this advert in the 'Hammersmith & Shepherds Bush Gazette' dated 2nd July 1981: “SINGLES BAR NOW OPEN - OLDIES FROM JUST 20p EACH. TUNE INTO 296 - 296 CHISWICK HIGH ROAD, W.4. (Opposite Times Furnishing). Tel: 01-995 5507. Open MON-SAT 10am-6.30pm.”

I found this listing in the 'Acton Gazette' dated 10th December 1981:
