I found this advert in the 'Hampstead News' dated 19th July 1951:
“Your favourite programmes - ALL the time. Broadcasting has to cater for all tastes. You cannot expect to get what you like all the time. With a Radiogram it's different. You can choose your favourite tunes and singers and give them as many encores as you wish, make the programme as long or short as you wish - whenever you like.
At the Radiogram and Record Centre you have the choice of a wide range of radiograms and an enormous selection of modern and classical records from which to build up your programmes. Agents for: Murphy, H.M.V., Bush, Pye, Ekco, Philips, Ultra, Ferguson, Baird, English Electric, Decca.”
THE RADIOGRAM AND RECORD CENTRE, MUSIC HOUSE (Opp. the Post Office), CROUCH END BROADWAY, LONDON, N.8. Telephone: MOUntview 1183, 8233.”
