The Hastings shop later became Stylus.
Telefusion was a significant player in Northern England. Their flagship showroom in Blackpool had what was dubbed “Blackpool’s friendliest record bar”, encouraging you to play the latest sounds.

I found this in the 'Eastwood & Kimberley Advertiser' dated 9th October 1964: “NEW RECORD SALON AT HEANOR: Tomorrow (Saturday), at Telefusion in Market Street, a large and luxurious record salon is to be opened. It will be the largest in the town, offering a selection of thousands of records from the latest top pops to specialist classical records for the discriminating collector. The emphasis in the layout of the new department is to give the customer every opportunity to see the records in browsers, read the cover's information notes and decide for himself whether he wishes to buy. Special hearing units have been installed so that particularly pop-pickers can hear the records before buying. Booths are provided for listening to L.P.'s and classical records. Our reporter discussed the new salon with Mr. Bill Tonks. who has been Telefusion's manager in Heanor for many years and is well known to thousands of the company's customers who regularly visit his shop. He said, “Our object is to provide a new service for record buyers. We will welcome visitors to our salon even if they only wish to browse. There will be no obligation to buy and if people wish to shop by post they are welcome to do so; we will pay the postage. Obviously we cannot stock every record made, but Miss Parkin, who has had considerable experience and has now joined our staff to take charge of this new department, will be only too pleased to order special records for our customers, and we plan to supply within 48 hours." One feature that we had not come across before is a record club, which enables young people with limited means to save for the more expensive L.P.'s and stereo records. It will certainly pay anyone who buys records to visit the new salon. It's pleasant and gay decor, the large selection immediately on show, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff make shopping a pleasure.”
