Spin Off, Nelson
It was based opposite the Station Hotel (pub) in the early-mid ’80s. I used to go in there around the age of 11 or 12 – which would have been 1985 – to look at the Mods Mayday ’79 sleeve, which I liked rather a lot. The shop closed shortly after. The guy who run the shop was also a DJ. I would sometimes see his trailer outside the shop which said Spin-Off DJ on the side, which presumably contained his DJ gear. Looking on Google maps it looks like the building where Spin Off was has been knocked down and is now the bus station… I eventually bought Mods Mayday ’79 in 2001. Charlie Bravo (July 5, 2016)

I found this advert in the 'Barnoldswick & Earby Times' dated 4th December 1981: “HAVE YOU seen what makes Spin Off Records very different from the rest? Not just our low prices, but the service you receive. Now call and see the difference. — Opp. Station Hotel, Nelson.”
... and this in the 5th November 1982 edition:
“RECORDS, RECORDS, TAPES, TAPES, all at discount prices at — Spin Off Records and Tapes. Tel. 15976.”
... plus this in the 23rd March 1984 edition:
“CASH PAID for records and tapes, exchanges welcome. — Spin Off Records, opp. Station Hotel, Nelson.”
