Sounds Original first opened in Northfields Avenue, Ealing, back in November 1983 and traded from that address until April 2000 when it moved about half a mile to the current location in South Ealing Road.

I found this advert in the 'Middlesex Chronicle' dated 6th August 1998: “RECORDS BOUGHT/SOLD FOR CASH. Sounds Original, Collectors Record Shop, 266 Northfield Avenue, Ealing W 5. 0181 840 5621.”

Sounds Original closed in June 2024 when Paul the proprietor retired. Much missed in the area, though still trading online.
