I found this notice in the 'Accrington Observer & Times' dated 16th March 1920:
“CARLISLE'S Ltd., Successors to H. Sharples & Son, 40-42, Darwen Street, BLACKBURN.”

I found this advert in the 'Blackpool Gazette & Herald' dated 2nd March 1909:
“ESTABLISHED 1883. H. SHARPLES & SON (SUCCESSORS TO KIRTLANDS), PROMENADE, 16, CENTRAL BEACH, BLACKPOOL. Also at Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, etc. Every Requisite in MUSICAL MERCHANDISE by the Best Makers.”
... and this listing in the 'Northern Daily Telegraph' dated 28th April 1909:
“H. Sharples & Son, 38, Chapel Street, CHORLEY. 40, Darwen St., BLACKBURN. 12a, Hargreaves Street, BURNLEY. 16, Central Beach, Promenade, BLACKPOOL.”
