Comment: I started my apprenticeship as a graphic artist here in 1956 aged 15 earning £1 6s 1d for a six-day week. It was called 'Showcard Services' at that time. Mr Jameson was the owner and we were moved to the back shop when he changed the front shop to the Rex Record Salon.

The late great jazz musician Jim McHarg, one of the founder members of the Clyde Valley Stompers was the record shop manager, and I still have fond memories of Jim and his friends jamming at lunchtime - talk about music while you work! Wonderful memories.
