Comment: This place was there for years. My father used to buy 'salvage' (that was the word etched into the label) 78s which had small chips in them or other minor imperfections from here and these were as to be expected much cheaper than full price releases.

I found this in the 'South London Observer' dated 13th December 1931: “BOY reqd. for light work in workshop; oppor. to learn trade if suitable. — Reliance Piano Co., 28 Brixton Rd., S.W.9.”
