Comment: Pretty sure this used to be on the Bullring, where it curves round onto Westmorland Street/The Springs. It was a newsagents with a few record carousels, selling mainly singles. They were 'ex-jukebox singles' (with the middles knocked out and replaced by those whirly plastic adaptors) and most of them came in the same generic blue and orange record sleeves.

I remember buying Love is the Drug and Both Ends Burning by Roxy Music there, and some of the more obscure Sparks singles like Get in the Swing and Looks Looks Looks.

I found this piece in the 'Macclesfield Express' dated 28th November 1985:
“POP INN in Sunderland Street, the record tape and video shop, have a grand opening on November 30th.”
