I found this piece in the 'Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph' dated 25th January 1986:
“RUSHDEN TOWN'S stand roof appeal got off to a cracking start yesterday. Jack Osborne, who has launched the bid to raise in excess of £3,000, alone brought in £300 by canvassing other local businessmen. “We will welcome donations from the general public and, in particular, from former Rushden Town players.” said Osborne, who is also president of the town's Cricket Club. These can be taken to the OSBORNE OFFICE SUPPLIES Group RECORD and VIDEO shop in High Street, Rushden.”
