I found this article in the 'Accrington Observer & Times' dated 23rd May 1997: “Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Mary’s Music are hoping all of the compact discs and records on offer at their Whalley Road premises will carry on bringing hours of pleasure to customers for decades. The long-serving Mary Mortimer now runs it in partnership with her granddaughter Zoe Duggan.”
