Specialists in high energy dance and soul music.
In the early days there were Duncan Finlayson, Christine Norton, and Dave Allen (who worked Saturdays). In later years Tony Millican joined the team. The shop stopped trading after Tony's death in 1996, at the age of just 45.

I found this in the 'Manchester Evening News' dated 12th August 1992: “HOT new dance track 'Rofo’s Theme' is actually a golden oldie! The infectious single was first released two years ago - but not available nationwide. Now it has been re-mixed and pumped out by Cheshire hitman Pete Waterman’s PWL Continental label. It is a great boost for Rofo. They are Manchester based DJ and musician Mike “Big Bird” Coppock and Birmingham music store boss Duncan “Rofo” Finlayson (pictured below). They first met in Duncan’s shop in 1982 and have been working together ever since. While on holiday in Belgium in 1987 they visited the studios of Infinity records. There they came across Fonny de Wulf and Ray Muylie working on a new track. They joined in the fun and 'Rofo’s Theme' was born In 1990. Duncan set up his own small label Loading Bay Records and the number was unleashed. Despite the lack of distribution it sold 12,000 copies in two years and became a Hi-NRG anthem.”

Comment: I first met Duncan as his new neighbour in Harrow Road. Duncan and Christine became friends instead of just neighbours. I spent many a happy time fixing his Jensen or repairing his motorbike or scooter. Absolutely a lovely bloke and genuinely missed.
