I found this advert in the 'Sussex Express' dated 28th November 1980:
“LEWES RECORD CENTRE, SCHOOL HILL, LEWES. Telephone 3611.”
... and this in the 8th April 1983 edition:
“LEWES Record Centre has been open now for over five years and has established itself as one of the leading independent record shops in Sussex. This year it is extending its specialist sections of classical and jazz, and introducing the revolutionary new compact disc which was launched last month. Demonstrations of this disc will be available to anyone wanting to sample its superior sound.”
... and this in the 27th July 1990 edition:
“SUMMER OFFERS AT LEWES RECORD CENTRE, 18 HIGH STREET, LEWES 473611.”
