I found this advert in the 'Horley & Gatwick Mirror' dated 18th July 1986:

Remember in the '90s when a guy called Brian Hawkins took in this shop buying it from the previous owner. For a good ten years or there abouts had many a long chat in the shop with him, most of which is long forgotten, but I still recall how much I liked the shop and popping in. A guy called John (who once worked for British Rail I believe) who had an 50s rocker style haircut would sometimes cover in the shop for Brian, and would later open his own music and film memorabilia shop in the same arcade of shops in redhill, known as JPK world of fame, after the cobblers closed the same unit. Both John and Brian were something of local celebrities themselves in Redhill in those days. Both must have moved away during the 2000s as they haven't been seen on the streets there since. I believe Brian did later work in Sainsbury's on Purley way after that for a time, but have heard nothing other than that.
