I found this advert in the 'Stratford-upon-Avon Herald' dated 10th May 1941: “Hansons can find you a present to your taste. Bring your problems to us: we will do our utmost to solve them. Our PIANO, RADIO, RECORD and MUSIC DEPARTMENTS will be very busy just before Christmas. To avoid disappointment SHOP EARLY. WATCH for our helpful Christmas Advertisement, which will be designed to give you ideas.”
...and this in the 10th May 1946 edition:
“HANSONS forgo Purchase Tax! A. & F. E. HANSON, Ltd., have pleasure in announcing that their extensive GRAMOPHONE RECORD Stocks have been marked down to the NEW AUTHORISED PRICES. HANSONS, The Music Centre, 21, High Street.”
...and this in the 20th September 1946 edition:
“HANSONS, THE MUSIC CENTRE, HIGH ST., STRATFORD-ON-AVON, 'Phone 2087. AND AT LEAMINGTON, RUGBY, COVENTRY, &c.”
...plus this in the 2nd June 1950 edition:
“HANSONS THE MUSIC LOVERS' CENTRE FOR 100 YEARS, HIGH STREET, STRATFORD-ON-AVON. Tel. 2087.”
