I found a mention of Green River Records in the ‘Reading Evening Post’ dated 24th February 1995: “Walking Sideways in Reading town centre should not be taken lightly. For the new record label set up by Paul Brandreth of Green River Records is committed to helping local bands gain national exposure.” ... and also a listing in the issue dated 9th June 1995: “GREEN RIVER RECORDS, THE ARCADE Telephone: 393639.”

I worked in Green River Records for a little while doing short shifts and helping out in 1995 / 1996 between jobbs. I remember De La Soul 'Stakes is high' and Beck 'Odelay' being big sellers for the shop. They also did distribution and helped distribute a single worldwide from a band I used to be in. Good fun working in that shop.
