I was a big fan of the John Peel programme on Sunday afternoons, listening to him while doing homework. There was always something new and interesting in the programme and the following Saturday I would go off to Disque to see if they had it in stock or could get it - often they did have it in stock so I could listen first in one of their booths and then get off home to play it again. Memorable discs included David Acles "Down River" - possibly the first stereo 45 -, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Collegiana", Phil Ochs "Miranda" and many many more. Great times. Comment: br50

I found this 'Q&A' piece in the 'Sunday Sun (Newcastle)' dated 6th January 1974:
“WHERE can I get the LP “Alex Glasgow Sings”? It seems to be unobtainable in this part of the country. Robert Hogarth, Cardiff. WRITE to Disque Record Shop (Mrs. Utchison), 9 Prudhoe Place, Newcastle upon Tyne.”
